Reaper harvesting hastens harvesting operations. Follow the instructions below when you are harvesting using a mechanical reaper.
- Do the basic check-up procedure on the reaper before going to the field.
- Remove all the bamboo stakes in the field.
- Manually harvest the corners of the field using sickle before harvesting with reaper to prevent lodging of the crop at the corners.
- If the dike is more than 30 cm, harvest the first two rows of the crop near the dike manually to have windrowing area and prevent clogging during operation.
- Adjust the reaper engine speed at A? setting of the accelerator to attain the right cutting and conveying speed with less grain shattering loss.
- Reverse clutch must be engaged when turning at the corner to prevent lodging of the harvested crop and minimize grain loss.
- Pile the harvested crop not more than 1 day after harvest.
- Pile the harvested crop separately for each variety immediately after cutting to eliminate the chance of mixing other varieties while on the field.
