Avoid the intense heat of the sun at noon time to prevent cracking of the grains.
Stir the grains at least once every 30 minutes to prevent heat buildup and nakes drying of grains more uniform.
When sun drying for seed purposes, use feet or light wooden-tooth rake in stirring the grains to avoid removal of hulls.
Do not dry grains directly on concrete pavement. Use nylon bags for small amount of seeds or spread grains on nylon net, canvas, or any clean sheet when drying.
When drying during rainy seasons, always prepare plastic sheets to cover and protect grains from getting wet with sudden downpours.
