Pano po ang Tamang paraan ng ratoon o pruning sa palay. 3 weeks po kasi after ko mag harvest ay itinumba ko ang natirang puno ng palay gamit ang hand tractor paddy wheel at suyod. Gusto kopo Sana na muli itong magsuwi. Tnx po
Hello Sir Ed, isang pamamaraan din po ang pagtutumba ng puno gaya ng ginawa ninyo.Pwede rin po kung gumamit ng combined harvester mainam na putulin ang puno ng palay ng 20-30 cm. Ito ay pra mapabilis ang pagtubo ng mga panibagong suwi sa bandang puno at maging sabsay sabay ang paglaki ng palay.Pero mas mainam na magsagawa ng ratoon kung may sapat na patubig or during wet season. kapag lumabas na po ang suwi mag apply ng 1 bag na urea sa kada ektarya.

Hello Jailanie, you may apply fertilizer after 1st application during mid tillering stage with the use of LCC, you may apply topdress during the start of panicle initiation,however you may apply additional urea during the start of early flowering when the LCC reading is below critical. The application of pesticides is not recommended if there is no significant population of pest during reproductive stage.
hello Jailanie, the variety is not right basis of fertilizer to be used, the best basis is the soil analysis, you may use the general recommendation is the soil is deficient in NPK: at 10-14 DAT,apply 4 bags 14-14-14-12S and 1-2 bags 16-20-0.From 21 DAT,use leaf color chart to monitor when to apply urea, on the start on panicle initiation apply 0.5 bag 0-0-60 per hectare.

Hello Sir Rufino,the Carbonized rice hull is not the ash from burning rice hull, it is only carbonized which is colored black not grayish white which is the ash. It is recommended to apply the CRH while leveling the seed bed before seed sowing.While the sulfate is fertilizer to be broadcast to the seedling 3-4 days before pulling.

Halos kakaunti na din ang suwi ng sabog tanim na palay at nagiging payat ang mga puno nito kaya mas mahina sa hangin kaya kadalasan na dumadapa ang mga ito. Pero may kinalaman din po ang sobrang pataba, kung sobra kasi ay lumalambot ang puno, masyado din pong nakakaattract ng mga peste.
My seedlings when uprooted from the seedbed do not come easily (in ilocano NAIRUT). i tried using Amway product for this problem but did not solve the problem. Is there a method of preparing the seedbed that will allow loose uprooting? Thanking you in advance!
Hello Sir Rufino, applying organic fertilizer in the seed bed before seed sowing greatly help to maintain the soil loose,you can also add carbonized rice hull to make the soil friable or loose. For easier pulling of seedling you may also apply sulfate (21-0-0-24s) fertilizer 3-4 days before seed pulling.
Due to lack of water, my 32 days old seedlings can’t be transplanted yet when they should have been transplanted when they were 22 to 25 days old. I don’t see rain coming or water from irrigation anytime soon. What can you recommend in this critical situation? Thanks.
Hello Sir Teteng,if you dont want to produce another seedlings, you can still transplant the your old seedling, although expect the lower yield due to the days are lessen in vegetative stage of your crop.You may also disregard the seedlings, then resort to direct seeding once the water is already sufficient to puddle your field.
